Hokkaido Day 4!

For our last day in Hokkaido we went all the way south to Hakodate, which is an absolutely gorgeous port city built right up on the mountains. I'm dying to come back here in the summer to get a feel for what it's like when it's not cold!

We went up top Hakodate mountain, along with 5,000 other Chinese and Japanese tourists, and used our vlogging skills to try to get some great shots of the setting sun over the beautiful port city despite the swarming crowd. (Vlogging pro-tip: sitting on someone's shoulders to get above the crowd is dangerous but effective).

We went to a greenhouse conservatory with beautiful, wonderful warm temperatures and green plants everywhere! They had a lattice ceiling walkway with a field of flowers on top and it was great for taking pictures. Outside for some reason they also have an enclosure for Japanese monkeys with an onsen for them to soak in. But the enclosure seemed really overcrowded (there was poop everywhere, even in the onsen) and it kind of left me with a bad feeling. I love the conservatory but maybe the monkey thing isn't necessary... I realize not everyone would be excited to go to a conservatory like us but still. :/

Hakodate is also apparently famous for sushi, being the big port that it is! We went to a sushi bar recommended by the dude who runs the sharehouse we stayed at and it was the best sushi I've ever had in my life. We ended up spending 2,000 yen for each of us but we were completely filled afterward. The sushi chef said he's been working there for more than 50 years! He was super chill and let us film everything, so there'll be a video about that, too!

Once we get a chance to hook up our computer somewhere I'll make a trip on Odigo that links up all the places we visited in Hokkaido so you guys can check that out of you want!
